Rosie bagged a 10 point buck

This buck was out in a wheat field fixen to fight another smaller buck when Rosie started her stalking...  just as she got close enough a neighbor shot a doe across the field causing the buck to take off running but that didn't stop Rosie from shooting him in the heart.  After knocking it down her hands were shaking like a leaf

Of course for our redneck family, cleaning a deer is something everybody wants to be in on

We can skin a buck... run a trot line... a country family can survive!

Girls are busy today making ground venison... as Gracie grinds the meat she is adding bacon for fat and flavor.

Rosie got her bird

We couldn't get close enough to the group of toms out in a field so we hiked to where we thought they would enter the woods and laid an ambush...  I lay on the ground and Rosie used me for a bench rest.  As you can see, the tom made a mistake of getting in her sights.!  After the shot I could read her lips and tell she gave glory to God for her success but I am sure my grand children will have to learn sign language.
